Daily Devotional #1,823

I bet you’ve had those days where you just felt down. Maybe it was sorrow or disappointment or maybe just  kind of the blahs. And sometimes it wasn’t just a day, but a season of time. I’ve been there too. And the  temptation is to think that this is all there is left for me in life. It will just not get any better. The first miracle  that Jesus performed was at a wedding. They had run out of wine for their days long celebration. That was an  oversight that would kill the joy of the occasion and bring disappointment and embarrassment to the family.  Jesus’ mother, Mary, approached him and told him the problem that their friends were facing. Jesus didn’t let  them down. He asked the waiters to fill giant containers that were used for household water…with water! They  did it and he simply asked them to have the guy in charge of the celebration for the couple to drink a cup full  from one of the containers. He did and the water was now wine! And not just ordinary wine…it was great  wine. Plain old water immediately changed into vintage wine. The thing that you and I need to remember is  that the man who turned water into wine can turn your sorrow into joy! So, bring whatever it is that is  burdening your heart to the one who can change anything and everything. Trust this Jesus enough to give him  the opportunity to do that in your life. Here’s our Bible verse for today…
John 15:11 NLT I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!
Remember I’m praying for you!
With love, PJ
