Daily Devotional #1,830

I saw this intriguing advertisement:
Anybody interested in a free ride in a helicopter? Flight for 4 people. I'm looking for 2 more people to join us.  We leave early Saturday, April13, from local Airport, and will fly to Vancouver Island where we will have breakfast and then on a yacht for lunch. Then we’ll do a flight along the coast to see the sharks and dolphins,  then returning to The Pier for dinner, then fly back home!  If interested please text me. Preferably someone with a helicopter and yacht, otherwise we can't go.

Here’s someone with big dreams and no resources. How about you? What kind of resources do you have for  life? Not just for an exotic trip like our advertisement, but even for just the challenges and obstacles of daily  life, much less for your dreams. When it comes down to it, we don’t have what we need for just about anything.  It all comes from somewhere…or someone else. The Bible tells us how we can accomplish and experience life  at its fullest…through Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote the church in a city named Philippi and told them how he  could do everything through this Jesus Christ who he had given his life to. He said, “I can do everything  through Christ, who gives me strength.” You might not get that helicopter and yacht extravaganza, but this  Jesus promises that he will be with you and if you remain in him and locked in his Word, you can ask anything,  and he will bring that about. But that is the key, to tap into that strength and that unlimited resource, our lives  have to be wrapped around him and his Word. And that means that his Word needs to go from your head to  your heart. But when it does…you can do everything through Christ who will give you strength. He makes  dreams come true. Here’s our Bible verse for today…

Philippians 4:13 NLT For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
