When you take time to thoughtfully read the Bible all the way through, you end up seeing the tremendous effort that Satan expends to capture the hearts and souls of humans and to keep them away from God. And then you see all that God does to open the door to himself and heaven for all human beings. And you realize that there is this intense battle that goes on…and all of that is expended for you and me. We are what all this is about. The spiritual and worldly battle has raged since the Garden of Eden. But what this means to me is that you are so important that you are worth fighting for. But then each of us has the choice to choose who we will serve. And mind you, there is no middle ground, it is one or the other…Satan or the Savior. So, when you see all that is going on in the world, the pain and destruction and depravity…remember that is the celestial war being played out before your eyes. So, take heart today…God believes you and your soul are with fighting for and sacrificing for. But so does Satan. But like the great leader from the Old Testament, Joshua, proclaimed to his people…if you refuse to serve the Lord…then choose who you will serve. But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord. You and I will choose this day…choose wisely. Your future and the future of others will be shaped by what you do this very day. Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Joshua 24:15 NLT But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.”
Remember I’m praying for you!
