I heard a story the other day about the animator Glenn Keane who was one of the animators for the movie “Beauty and the Beast”. They had been working on the movie and finally they came to the scene where the Beast lies lifeless and then he is transformed into a prince. That was his scene to do. Keane said that there are moments in animation where you feel like you were born to do this scene. The schedule said that he had a week to construct the scene, but his boss told him to take his time and to put his heart into it. With that he began and as he drew he started to feel like what he was producing was really his own story. He said that what he saw in his production was the transformation that Jesus Christ had made in his life. The verse that he saw in his animation was what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church. He said that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone and a new life has begun. He said that on his animation sheets he wrote the “address” of the verse..2 Corinthians 5:17. Like the Beast in that fairy tale, we, in real life can be transformed through this Jesus of the Bible. United in him we have a fresh start…we are actually created new again in our hearts and in the sight of God. With forgiveness the past is forgotten by God and everything for us is new. Glenn Keane is a wonderful animator and creator of beautiful images. But because of his faith in this Jesus of the Bible, he himself is a new creation in the sight of God and all of heaven itself. And the good news is that is available for anyone who desires to have that for themselves. Believe and trust Christ, repent…go and think in a new direction and follow him. And while your life may not be a fairy tale, it will lead to a life that only your imagination can dream of. Here’s our Bible verse for today…
2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Remember, I’m praying for you today….
