Daily Devotional #1,773

I love the story of the little girl who was riding home in the car with her parents from church one Sunday and  the girl turned to her mom with a question. “Mom, I didn’t understand something that the pastor said this  morning when he was talking up front.” Mom said, “Really…what was it?” The little girl kind of squinted  with her eyes as she thought and said “The pastor said that God is bigger than any of us are. And he said that  God could hold the whole universe in his hand. Is that really true?” Mom said, “Yep, that’s what the Bible  says, sweetheart.” “But he also said that when we ask Jesus to come into our hearts, that he comes to live inside  of us. Isn’t that right?” Mom said “That’s absolutely true too.” The little girl stopped for a bit and then said “If  God is bigger than us and He lives in us…wouldn’t he show through?” That little girl had it right. The Apostle  Paul wrote to the Galatian church that he had been crucified with Christ…and now it wasn’t him who was  living, but this Jesus of the Bible who was. This life we are living in these bodies, we live by faith in this Jesus  who loved us and died for us. She’s right…the whole point is that if Christ live in us…then he will show  through us. You and I serve a great big God…let him show through you so that the world can see him in your  life. If he’s really there…you won’t be able to hide him. So don’t try…let him loose to love the world around  you…through you! Here’s our Bible verse for today…
(Galatians 2:20 BSB) I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I  live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Remember I’m praying for you…
