Do you get afraid? What are you afraid of? I saw a movie where people were being asked what they were  afraid of and one guy said that he was afraid of spiders, another was afraid of quicksand and another was afraid  of things just not turning out like he wanted them to. I bet all of us have some things we are afraid of. I really  don’t like heights…I’m afraid I’ll lose my balance and fall off something. And frankly there are more things  I’m afraid of. There was a man who wrote these words to God “But when I’m afraid, I will put my trust in  you.” When that man was young, he killed at least one lion and also a bear. He killed an enemy of his country  who was a giant of a man named Goliath and later became a successful captain in Israel’s army. That bit about  fear is in one of the Psalms of the Bible that he wrote. He never denied that fear was there. But he knew what  to do with that fear. He told God and through that Psalm told us that when he was afraid…he chose to put his  trust in God. And that’s the secret…it is a choice. So today, you may be fearful about your health, your  finances, your family or your future. Do what David, the greatest of Israel’s kings did…and what I do now.  When you are afraid of anything…say to God “I will put my trust in you.” You can count on him because he  loves you more than anyone ever will or ever could. Trust him and he will protect you and work out his perfect  will for you! Here’s our Bible verse for today…

Psalms 56:3 NLT But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
Remember I’m praying for you…
