They say there is a Mercedes-Benz TV commercial that showed one of their cars running into a concrete wall. It was to show the safety features of the car in a wreck. They were asked why they allow others to copy their energy-saving car body. They have a patent, but they allow pretty much every car maker who wants it to copy
it. One official answered why they let others in on their engineering product and he said “Because in life, some things are just too important not to share. In 2 Kings, chapter 7, the record reminds us that the people in Samaria were being starved by an army that had surrounded them and cut off any food or supplies from entering the city. The people were dying. There were four men with leprosy who had to sit out by the city gates and decided that rather than starve there they would go to the enemy and beg for food. They figured they were going to die of starvation anyway, so what did they have to lose? What they didn’t know was that God had caused a mass panic in the enemy army and during the night they left in such a hurry that there were mountains
of food and supplies. When they came upon the treasure in the enemy camp…there was no one there! They left food, tents, horses, donkeys and everything else and fled for their lives. When the four diseased men arrived, they began to go and stuff themselves with everything they could eat. Finally, they stopped and said that this wasn’t right. This is a day of good news. We have to go and tell the people! The officials didn’t believe it and cautiously approached the camp and saw this good news for themselves. The news got out and the people ran out and ate and were saved. If you know this Jesus through his forgiveness of your sins…you have good news to share. God has assigned every believer the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God to all who will listen. God let you find it…you now open the door so others can find this life in Christ too! Because in life, some things are just too important not to share! Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Acts 20:24 NLT But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
Remember I’m praying for you…
