Daily Devotional #1,841

How many red cars did you see yesterday? I bet you don’t know. You might even think you didn’t see any. But  what if I told you that I will pay you $1000 for every car you see today? I bet you’ll see red cars everywhere.  There won’t be more red cars…but you are focused on that one thing. God wants us to focus on one thing and  he promises us that if we do that, he will give you everything we need! In Matthew 6:33 Jesus is recorded  saying for us to “seek the Kingdom of God above all else and to live righteously”. So how do we do that? We  are called to think about the things that are of heaven and hold on to eternal values. And then to focus on loving  God first, to keep centered on God’s nature and then to love others. And then the Apostle Paul encouraged  followers of the Jesus of the Bible to think about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. And he  said that if we would do this, that would keep our focus on God’s will. You aren’t promised $1,000 bucks, but  God assures us that he will provide for our needs in every way and give us a life filled with love and purpose  and joy. So quit seeking out those red cars and let’s seek first the Kingdom of God today. Here’s our Bible  verse for today…
Matthew 6:33 NLT Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you  everything you need.
Remember I’m praying for you…
