Have you been waiting for God…for something? Maybe a healing, an opportunity or even a dream that you carry in your heart? You pray and wait…and nothing has happened. We have to come before God with the understanding that he knows and sees things that we cannot. And our waiting is not wasted. It allows us to purposely put our faith in God each day, letting him know that we trust him. And every day you tell him that and wait, you honor God. You and I don’t know what God has in store for us in this life. But there are some things we can “hold our hat on”. Never forget that prayer works. God hears and our prayers put us in partnership with God in his work in us, with us and for us. Don’t stop. Second, tables do turn. We may think that we are locked into one setting or direction in our lives with him. But in a moment, God can flip your whole life around and open doors you thought were closed forever. And thirdly, God is good all the time. Because of his character that we see revealed in the Bible and we experience in our lives, we can trust him to have good plans for us…a future and a hope. Sometimes we think that will happen, but only in heaven. King David wrote, in one of his psalms, that he was certain to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. That’s here on earth. We can’t know exactly what God will do but we can be assured that even here on our journey on earth, we will see and experience God’s goodness. So what do you and I do? The psalm goes on to say that our job is to wait patiently. That will require strength and courage. And God will give you both. So, ask God, dream big, pray boldly…but wait patiently for Lord. He has not forgotten you. Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Psalms 27:13-14 BSB Still I am certain to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (14) Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD!
Remember I’m praying for you…
