Two men had an argument. To settle the matter, they went to an arbitration judge. The plaintiff made his case. He was very eloquent and persuasive in his reasoning. When he finished, the judge nodded in approval and said, "That's right, that's right." On hearing this, the defendant jumped up and said, "Wait a second, judge, you haven't even heard my side of the case yet." So the judge told the defendant to state his case. And he, too, was very persuasive and eloquent. When he finished, the judge said, "That's right, that's right." When the court clerk heard this, he jumped up and said, "Judge, they both can't be right." The judge looked at the clerk and said, "That's right, that's right!" Some folks are like that judge when it comes to Jesus Christ. People will admire him as a great teacher or humanitarian or even a religious leader. But that’s not who he claimed to be. He claimed to be God who joined us here on earth as one of us and died on a cross to pay for our sins and was raised from the dead after three days. And then there are folks who claim that all people, everywhere who worship, worship the same God. That’s not what the Bible says either. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. What he claims is that there is one and only way to come to God and to go to heaven…and that is through him and him alone. So, Jesus is either delusional, a liar, a demonic being…or just who he claims to be. You can’t have it both ways…take him at his word that he is God’s Son who has come into the world as God’s only option for people to be rescued for heaven…or he is not. Everybody gets to choose. Choose wisely, because everything depends on what you decide and do. I’m going with the Jesus of the Bible! Here’s our Bible verse for today…
John 14:6 NLT Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
Remember I’m praying for you…
