Daily Devotional #1,752

About 20 of us have committed to reading through the Bible in the year 2026. In my Bible that is 1,990 pages!  I want to be exposed to everything that God has in it for me and for my fellow readers. I found some things that  the Bible says that it will do for us if we will read it…
Instruction & Growth: It's "profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in  righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).
Equipping: It thoroughly equips believers for every good work and service to God (2 Timothy 3:17).  Spiritual Life: God's Word is described as "living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword," discerning  our deepest thoughts (Hebrews 4:12).
Blessings: Those who read, hear, and keep its words are promised blessings (Revelation 1:3).  Knowing God: It reveals God's nature, character, and plan, helping believers know Him better.  Overcoming Sin: It helps identify sin, provides strength to overcome temptation, and offers freedom (Psalm  119:9, James 1:22-25).
Some of the benefits of reading your Bible regularly are that it will help build faith and understanding and self awareness and humility. It opens the door to peace and hope and strength. And over time it will build your  Godly character and help you to grow to spiritual maturity. So even if you aren’t going to read the whole thing  this year, open that Bible as often as you can. And let God speak to your heart and soul and see for yourself the  impact it can have on your life this year. Here’s our Bible verse for today…
Psalms 119:103-105 NLT How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. (104) Your  commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life. (105) Your word is a lamp to  guide my feet and a light for my path.
Remember I’m praying for you…
